In the UK coal burning boilers have been used for decades. As the coal reserves are running out and the EU is focusing on using renewable energy sources in the energy production. Traditionally when wood burning boilers have been considered, a completely new boiler with wood pellet feeding systems has been installed. An alternative way to achieve the solution is to convert coal burning boilers to wood burning boilers.
The Government is committed to reducing the country's CO2 emissions and burning wood for heating and generating electricity is one of the ways to aid this.
Our engineers have over 30 years service in working with coal fired boilers, this experience has been, along with some modifications, have been transferred to the world of wood burning. Instatherm have teamed up with Nottinghamshire based boiler manufacturers Hoval to produce a wood burning package of Boiler, Stoker and Controls.
